Maui Hawaii real estate market update April 2025

I have to admit it’s kind of refreshing to see this turn in the market, with sellers getting a reality check on pricing.  Crazy prices just aren’t working these days since there are fewer buyers willing to pay any price at all.  Even still, prices are not dropping and basic housing is mostly unaffordable for those wanting to enter the real estate market.  Luxury homes will always be in demand as Maui remains a beautiful little island remote from a lot of the uncertainty in other parts of the world.

Pictured above is 519 Hana Highway, Kuau Maui – a lovely remodeled house and cottage on the oceanfront.  It’s currently listed for $4,888,000 and under contract since February, so probably closing soon.
