The Upcountry Caravan in Haiku Maui only had 4 listings to preview

This week we only see homes in Haiku, nothing to see in Paia even though there are some new homes on the market in the little beach town.  Starting price is $845,000 making all of these homes for sale over the median Maui price.  These are not my listings, but offered by other brokers.  I can help you as your buyer’s agent.  Check out the 4 new listings we previewed this month:

  • 1809 Haiku Rd – $845,000 – almost new 3Bd/2Ba 1,622 sf home, carport and shed, brand new neighborhood
  • 373 Ulumalu Rd – $950,000 – 3Bd/2.5Ba extended family home and garage, bonus rooms, 3/4 acre lot
  • 333 Manawai Rd – $1,795,000 – 4.8 acre horse property with 2Bd/2.5Ba house and cottage, paddocks, rustic stable

Two are Residential Condo or CPR homes which means there may be some shared elements with the next door neighbor. Let me know if you need this explained in detail. It’s becoming more common to see Maui homes that are CPRs.  In this case, Haiku Rd and Kulike Rd are both in this category.

Prepper home where you can be prepared for disasters – the Ulumalu listing has a Photo-Voltaic system to supply power, and an indoor pool that’s under the floor, which could be used for a hurricane shelter or water storage. Fruit trees in the yard.

Horse property with a nice country feeling and big views of the Pacific Ocean.  This Manawai neighborhood is one of the best on the north shore and you will notice it right away if you drive down the long concrete road from the Hana Highway.  Lots of open space and views, well maintained homes and properties, and no crappy homes to spoil the ambiance.  The climate is a little drier that other parts of Haiku, since the clouds often skim right over top and drop their rain at a little higher elevation.
