The Upcountry Caravan for November was quite diverse
The Kula caravan event every month usually offers many expensive homes, and this month is no exception. Only 1 home was priced below $1M. It was a beautiful day with some showers in the Ulupalakua area as the misty clouds rolled in. These are the new listings we previewed this month.
- 11 Aulii Drive – $2,850,000 – luxury estate with 4,345 sf home, large garage, 2 acres in Kula 200
- 68 Ka Drive – $1,499,000 – charming house and cottage with views, large lot in Kula Kai
- 12 Kolokea Way – $1,095,000 – sprawling single level home on half an acre in a quiet cul-de-sac
- 1168 Lower Kimo Drive – $899,500 – mid-century classic Maui home on a grassy acre with mature trees
- 1261,1341, 1437 Kanaio-Kalama Park Road – $1,500,000 – 17.8 acres with 2 homes and avo/mango orchard
Kula 200 is really in Pukalani, but it tends to feel like Kula, with the 2-5 acre lots and agricultural zoning, and often gets featured in a Kula search. The home on Aulii Drive appeals to someone who loves to entertain, with many interesting rooms and spaces. The views and privacy here make you feel like you’re far from town, but you’re not.
Kula Kai will always be one of my favorite neighborhoods in Kula, with most lots being 1/3 acre or more. Some of the lots, like this home on Ka Drive, are large enough to have a detached cottage as well as the main home. The yard is very playful and might even be considered low maintenance.
The drive out to Ulupalakua was lovely, and the county workers were out trimming the sides of the roads with their weed whippers, and making it much safer to see who’s coming on that narrow winding Piilani Highway. Some quick showers blew by, and everything is looking very lush and green this month. Just past the Ulupalakua Ranch was the furthest listing to see…
17.8 acres – 3 parcels – 2 homes – orchard and pasture
Large fruit farm with loads of large avocado and mango trees, macadamias and coffee too. Farm house and cottage were simple and small, and could use a transformation. A beautiful old redwood water tank stood testament to another time. 3 parcels being sold together, with county water meter. The setting is at the end of a long road, so very isolated and private, and with great big views of the south shore and Kahoolawe. A new owner could make this place productive.
