Kahului’s newest Safeway Store
The latest new grocery store on Maui is this brand new Safeway, which just had their Grand Opening last week. It’s bigger than the old store, with 57,000 square feet, and filled with some great specialty departments. Located in the Ho’okele Shopping Center which is also brand new, but easy to find just off the Hana Highway, and close to the airport… see map below.
We checked it out just a few days later, at night. It’s great that they’re open 24/7 since there’s not much else going on late at night. Everything is so fresh and clean and new. So much selection! I’ll be back to get some fresh poke and see what else there is to offer in the daytime.
